Sage, onion and liver pate or mushroom pate served with hot
toast and Yorkshire farmers chutney - £4.25.
Prawn, melon and pink grapefruit salad with dill and lemon
crème fraiche - £4.50.
Tomato soup with feta, basil oil and crusty bread - £3.95.
Blue cheese and walnut stuffed mushroom with
poached pear salad - £4.25.

Main courses (Spice)
Butternut squash and root vegetable tagine topped with toasted
almonds and fresh coriander - £9.95.
Three bean, pepper and mushroom chilli with mint and
cucumber riatta - £7.95.
Smoked haddock freshly poached in a rich tomato and
chorizo chowder - £10.50.
...all served with home grown herb couscous and potato bread.

Main Courses (Traditional)
Best local beef and whole top ale stew topped with cheese and
chive scones - £10.50.
Black pudding, pork and shallot sausages with roast apple, wrapped
in bacon and red wine sauce - £9.95.
Free range chicken, leek and mushroom pie with a creamy pepper
corn sauce and a cheddar crust - £8.95.
